I suggest that either (i) the repeal should be taken

out of the order in Council, or (2) that practically no

notice should be taken of it by not passing a repealing or-

ainance, Government continuing to receive Crown Rents and

fines fixeu in Sterling at the rate of the collar.

Sa. A. M. Thomson,

a

Acting Colonial Treasurer.

I attach a copy of a Notification which has been found

in the Treasury but which I cannot understand. The Land

Officer might be able to explain it from scrutiny of the

leases.

Treasury,

18th. April 1895.

Sa. A. M. Thomson.
